  • Badaguish Outdoor Centre Aviemore, Scotland, PH22 1AD United Kingdom (map)
31st May - Wild Skills Series: Natural Navigation and Tracking
£25.00

Join me for a hands-on journey into the art of natural navigation and wildlife tracking in the heart of the Cairngorms. We’ll begin with a guided walk through the stunning landscape surrounding Badaguish, learning how to find our way using natural signs like the sun’s movement, the growth of plants, and the shape of the land. You’ll discover how to navigate without relying on a compass, using age-old techniques that have guided explorers for centuries.

As we move through the environment, we’ll shift our focus to the wildlife that inhabits these wild spaces. Scotland’s mammals and birds leave behind a wealth of clues, from footprints in the mud to feeding signs on trees and even distinctive droppings. We’ll explore how to identify different species, interpret their behaviour, and understand the hidden stories written into the landscape. Whether you’re a seasoned outdoor enthusiast or a beginner looking to build confidence in the wild, this immersive session will deepen your connection to nature and give you practical skills to use on future adventures.

No prior experience is needed – just curiosity, comfortable footwear, and a willingness to explore!

Only 10 spaces available.
