Bushcraft Basics at Brodie

  • Brodie Castle Forres, Scotland, IV36 2TE United Kingdom (map)

Join professional wildlife filmmaker and outdoor instructor, Will Hall and learn all about the natural world. In this session, you’ll pick up loads of key naturalist skills and bushcraft knowledge. Meeting at Brodie Castle, we will make our way into the grounds looking at which plants are edible and discussing some exciting uses for even the most common ones!

After this, we will explore the fascinating world of animal biology and tracking skills with lots of hands on activities - you’ll learn all about the differences between fox and badger footprints among many others.

We will look at different ways to keep ourselves safe in the wild; including shelter building and botany.

Finally, we will learn all about natural navigation using clouds, trees, plants and animals to help orientate ourselves when we’re out in nature.

This is the perfect excursion for anyone, especially families. You’re guaranteed to learn something new!

All children taking part will also receive a free Winter Walk Activity and goody bag to explore the beautiful Brodie Estate further.

Please note that all participants are required to buy a ticket for this workshop.
